Artist Name Ideas

From this planning I am now aware of the importance of the artists name, not only is it how they are recognised but it's also a part of their branding and promotion.

For my made up artist who I will be featuring within my music magazine I will want to use a punchy, catchy, unique name that I can imagine being using in conversation between my target audience. For this reason my favourite name I planned is either 'Carmen' or 'Piper', I like these names as they aren't different to pronounce and are short, catchy and yet unfamiliar names.

I will now ask 10 individuals within my target audience age about which is their favourite names from the 5 I came up with:

I asked my respondents "What would be the most effective name for a new female pop artist in todays music scene?" Their response shows that they feel 'Piper' would be the best name for a new female pop singer. For this reason, and it was also one of my most favourite names,  my artist will be called and branded with the name 'Piper'.
